Legal Agreement

1. Non-Licensed Services

We, Tim and Brandi Harris, are not licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, or mental health professionals, nor do we hold any state licensure for psychological or psychiatric practice. Our qualifications are strictly theological and ministerial in nature. Tim is a pastor at Sacred Mission Church (SMC) in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a biblical counselor certified by the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC), with ministry degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS). Brandi is also a certified biblical counselor through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS). Please note that ABC, ACBC, SMC, SBTS, and SEBTS bear no liability regarding the content or advice of our counseling resources and services course; all guidance provided is solely our own.

2. Independent Nature of Content

Our online courses and virtual and in-person counseling are provided independently and do not represent any of the churches or organizations with which we are affiliated. These resources and services are intended to offer insights from a biblical and theological perspective based on our understanding of Scripture. If at any point you feel uncomfortable or disagree with our approach, you are free to discontinue.

3. Acknowledgment of Non-Professional Counseling

By viewing our online resources on this website or participating in virtual or in-person counseling, you acknowledge that our resources and services are not a substitute for licensed mental health services. You agree that any issues you encounter with us are not subject to legal claims against us or any related individuals or entities.

8. Confidentiality

While we strive to respect privacy in the content provided, we are not bound by the same legal confidentiality protections as those of licensed mental health professionals. While all content and advice are offered with respect to your personal growth and understanding, there is no established counselor-client confidentiality privilege. Exceptions to privacy may apply, including disclosures required by law or in cases of risk of harm.

9. Crisis Intervention Disclaimer

Neither our online resources on this website nor the virtual and in-person counseling we provide are designed for individuals experiencing crisis situations, including thoughts of self-harm or suicide. 10. Sensitive Topics Disclaimer

As biblical counselors, we approach all topics—including, but not limited to, sexuality, gender identity, and other culturally sensitive issues—from a perspective rooted in our understanding of the teachings of Scripture. Our perspectives may differ from secular or alternative views and could potentially be uncomfortable or offensive to some individuals. By viewing our online resources on this website or participating in virtual or in-person counseling, you acknowledge and accept that all topics may be presented from a biblically grounded viewpoint. If at any point you feel uncomfortable with this approach, you are free to discontinue reading, viewing, or receiving counseling.
